Oncofertility
Oncofertility addresses oncology and reproductive medicine to help patients faced with a cancer diagnosis. With the utmost compassion and understanding, RADfertility focuses on planning for your future.
Oncofertility
Oncofertility is the preservation of fertility in women and men prior to treatment for cancer. Cancer survival rates in young adults have risen dramatically in part due to improved treatments, however certain therapies such as chemotherapy, radiation and surgery can sometimes hinder reproduction. Preservation methods include freezing and storage for eggs, embryos and ovarian tissue in women, and sperm freezing and storage in men.
RADfertility is proud to be one of 134 participating US sites in the Oncofertility Consortium network. This worldwide program, overseen by the National Institutes of Health, is designed to explore the reproductive future of cancer survivors. It provides our patients and physicians with access to the latest clinical care initiatives, research, and technologies in fertility preservation.
