Welcome From Kristen Fields, PA-C, Physician Associate
I have a very long family history of medicine. My mother, maternal aunt and maternal grandmother are all nurses, and seeing them work day-to-day developed my interest in medicine. While I originally went to school for business, I knew what I really wanted to do was pursue medicine.
I first learned of the physician associate profession when I moved to Philadelphia. A coworker of mine was about to start her physician associate education, and she told me everything about it. From that conversation, I knew it was the career for me. Becoming a physician associate gives me the opportunity to work directly with you, while also giving me the flexibility to learn and grow within medicine. Though I have found my area of interest at RADfertility, I enjoy knowing the sky’s the limit in what I can do.
Before coming to RADfertility, I worked in a private OB/GYN office in New York. During my time there, I frequently met women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and other fertility challenges. Working with these women, I became fascinated with reproductive endocrinology and wanted to learn more.
At RADfertility, I enjoy working directly with you throughout the infertility process, and explaining different treatment options during a consultation. Another passion of mine is performing the procedures we do at RADfertility. I’m a very hands-on person, and I get a better understanding of the way the world works by interacting with it. I love being the person who explains the expected and actual findings of the procedures because I know it can help you understand and connect more with this process.
While at RADfertility, I also want to raise awareness that we support LGBTQ+ couples in their family building. As an LGBTQ+ individual, I know it is difficult to find places to go where you can be welcome, so showing that RADfertility welcomes all different families is very important to me. I’m very excited to join RADfertility as a physician associate and be able to help the men and women who see us with their family building goals.
