On June 30, 2018, history was made! Delaware became the 16th state to mandate fertility coverage when Governor John Carney signed SB139, Delaware’s Fertility Care & Preservation Bill into law.

GOVERNOR JOHN CARNEY SIGNS DELAWARE’S FERTILITY CARE & PRESERVATION BILL INTO LAW
Governor John Carney signed Delaware’s Fertility Care & Preservation Bill (SB139) into law on June 30th, 2018! It was an amazing journey supporting our patient advocate and bill champion, Christie Gross. What started as an idea to help families struggling with the financial burden of overcoming infertility blossomed into a wonderful grassroots campaign.

DELAWARE’S FERTILITY CARE & PRESERVATION LAW ADVOCATES GATHER AFTER IT PASSES THE HOUSE
Dr. Emelia Bachman joined Christie Gross, Rep. Valerie Longhurst and Sen. Bryan Townsend along with community members to celebrate the historic win for Delaware families. Once Gov. Carney signs it into law, Delaware will become the 16th state to cover fertility care and the 4th state to cover fertility preservation.

MIRANDA MAL TESTIFIES BEFORE THE HOUSE COMMITTEE
Miranda Mal, RESOLVE Support Group Host and Delaware Team Captain for Advocacy Day, joined her husband, Joshua, to share their personal journey. She expressed her hope for the thousands of individuals and families who will be diagnosed with infertility in the future in front of the House Committee.

DELAWARE’S FERTILITY CARE & PRESERVATION LAW ADVOCATES AFTER THE HOUSE COMMITTEE HEARING
House Majority Leader Rep. Valerie Maglio Longhurst joined guests that testified at the House Committee Hearing. Unanimous support meant the bill moved to a floor vote before the entire House of Representatives on Thursday, June 7, 2018.

DR. FEINBERG TESTIFIES BEFORE THE HOUSE COMMITTEE
On March 14 and June 6, 2018, Dr. Ronald Feinberg testified at Committee hearings before the Delaware Senate and House of Representatives. He contributed his medical expertise addressing how fertility care and IVF can safely help Delaware citizens build their families.

DR. BACHMAN & CHRISTIE GROSS AFTER THE SUCCESSFUL SENATE FLOOR VOTE
Following a unanimous State Senate vote on March 27, 2018, Dr. Emelia Bachman and Christie Gross gathered on the steps of Legislative Hall. Dr. Bachman provided her medical expertise for this historic day when the bill advanced to the House of Representatives.

RAD TEAM MEMBERS & CHRISTIE GROSS TESTIFY AT SENATE COMMITTEE HEARING
Dr. Feinberg, Dr. Bachman, and members of Team RAD joined patients and community members at Legislative Hall. Delaware’s Fertility Care & Preservation Law was considered in the Senate Health, Children & Social Services Committee on March 14, 2018.
